Buzz Jackson, the evening drive-time DJ and program director for KIIM 99.5 FM, made a promise back in March: He would eat his shoe if Nashville rising star Chris Young didn't land at No. 1 with his latest ballad "Tomorrow."
His pledge made national news; bloggers wanted to know exactly what kind of shoe would he eat and how would it be prepared. One listener even sent him a shoe-shaped apple pie, just in case.
"In May, I even had Kix Brooks in studio and tried to convince him to 'fix' the American Country Countdown so that 'Tomorrow' would be #1," Jackson confessed in an email. (Click here to hear that conversation.)
