Amrutha Cuisine of India attracts — and keeps — its regulars.
"I like a variety of foods, but this is the only place in Tucson that specializes in Southern Indian food," said David Price, a 39-year-old licensed acupuncturist, who visits Amrutha at least a couple of times a week. "I know Prasad makes all of the food in small batches, so it's very fresh."
Prasad would be Prasad Kakarala, the genial owner focused on making your experience memorable.
This newest entree to the local Indian food scene had other diners raving about the samosas, which aren't made with too much breading and are stuffed with vegetables and other ingredients.
Amrutha's lunch buffet takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Mondays-Saturdays and costs $6.95. Dinner is 5:30-9 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays and 5:30-9:30 Fridays and Saturdays. Amrutha is closed on Sundays.
