3OH!3, an electro-pop duo from Boulder, Colo. (area code 303), will be playing in the 520 on Tuesday night.
Sean Foreman and Nathaniel Motte met during a physics class at the University of Colorado in 2004 and have been touring and making records together ever since. Their popularity increased after collaborations with pop stars Ke$ha and Katy Perry.
They play their catchy brand of electronic music loud and distorted, but the result is a long way from random noise. The duo claims its music is above all a call to have fun.
Their sound has evolved quite a bit from the time the band's eponymous debut album was released in 2007.
The first album was self-released and only had one single, "Electroshock." Though relatively successful, it barely hinted at the commercial status the band would soon achieve.

3OH!3 (pronounced three-oh-three) was picked up by indie label Photo Finish for its 2008 record, "Want."
The CD featured "Don't Trust Me," which became a Top 10 hit. Perhaps you remember the refrain "Don't trust a ho, never trust a ho, won't trust a ho, 'cause a ho won't trust me." The duo's latest record, "Streets of Gold," was released in June.
