From the makeup to the screaming rock lyrics, everything about the 1970s glam rockers Kiss resonates with Priss, the Los Angeles all-female tribute band devoted to all things Kiss.
On their MySpace site, Priss says it has toured globally spreading the female version of the Kiss gospel as it continues "to forge ahead writing their own chapter in KISSstory."
Priss is L.A. musicians Doll Stanley (Sharon Needles on vocals and guitar); Luda Criss (Judy Cocuzza on drums); Lace Frehley (Jennifer Paro on lead guitar); and Jean Simone Goddess of Thunder (Andrea Zermeno on vocals and bass). No Kiss song is off-limits for Priss, which sets out to prove that rock 'n' roll has no gender bias.
Check them out Saturday when they play a benefit concert for Satori Schools at Club Congress, 311 E. Congress St. The show starts at 7 p.m. and includes special guests Pork Torta and Satori Rock Academy.
