Longtime local Elvis tribute artist Billy Templeton is dipping his hands into a musical stew in his new gig at Brat's Bar & Grill.
Templeton's new band, The Legends, aren't locked into any one genre or generation. They skip through America's musical catalog — country, rock, folk, R&B — until they find something they like. The audience, according to early reviews, seems to like it that way.
Years ago Templeton built a strong local following for his dead-on Elvis tribute shows.
There's likely to be some Elvis in the mix when The Legends take the stage from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday at Brat's Bar & Grill. There's no cover charge.
The Legends will play at Brat's every other weekend.
Brat's is in the Tucson Estates area at 5975 W. Western Way Circle, off South Kinney Road; 578-0341.

In March, the Athens, Ga., band released its new album, "In A Cave," a thoroughly relaxed collection of indie-pop, psych-rock and folk.
Elf Power plays Solar Culture Tuesday with locals Blankets at 9 p.m.
It'll cost you $7.
