Michael Bublé is not one to take seriously himself or awards.
Earlier this month at the Juno Awards — think Grammys for Canadians — Bublé snagged the coveted Fan Choice Award. As its name implies, the fans decide this one, which if you're a musician might seem like the mightiest affirmation of all. The Juno judging board composed of music executives and industry folks aren't the ones packing your concerts and buying your records. See where this is going?
In his acceptance speech, the Canadian crooner said the award was for all those who said he couldn't win the fan award by voting for himself.
Canadian fans are not alone in their admiration for Bublé, who will bring his swoonably cool voice and cabaret-style show to Tucson Arena on Wednesday. He's affable on stage and his music crosses generations, from pop standards culled from the Great American Songbook to catchy contemporary pop.
