U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Mariposa crossing seized 23 pounds of fentanyl, worth about $376,000, from a Hyundai SUV on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Officers using a drug-sniffing dog found the drugs along with 57 pounds of meth and nearly five pounds of heroin. The vehicle was occupied by a 37-year-old Mexican man and 28-year-old Mexican woman. The drugs in total were worth more than $600,000.
