Two months after opening their first BTO Yogurt shop on East Sunrise Drive, owners Doug and Dawn Carr are expanding to Marana. The couple and their partners, Eric Grossman and Art Owens, will open their second location in June in a strip mall on Cortaro Road near Interstate 10, in the Continental Ranch area. The modest space at 8295 N. Cortaro Road was home for several years to Hot Dog Heaven, which closed earlier this year.
BTO Yogurt sells 16 flavors of self-serve frozen yogurt by the ounce. Carr said the prices at the new store will be the same as the Sunrise location — 39 cents an ounce. The average cost is $3.50, which Carr said can include candy, fruit or nut toppings.
Carr and his partners are working on plans to open a location in Park Place mall. Two other locations — one in Ohio and a Tucson store on East Speedway — will be opened by folks licensing the name and getting the Korean-imported yogurt machines through the partners, Carr said.

The Continental Ranch store will have the same hours as the Sunrise location, 6860 E. Sunrise Drive: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, until 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
