Make a book nook

Find a comfortable chair. It should be comfortable not only in the sitting position, but also in the reading position, with your neck bent.

Step 2:

Make sure you have good lighting. Lighting from above works best, especially the kind of lamp that can be bent so that it shines directly on your book. But any lamp that allows you to see well will work.

Step 3:

Get a table that is comfortably within arm's reach while sitting in the chair. You'll want it for glasses, pens or a beverage.

Step 4:

Add some storage — like a basket or a table with a built-in shelf — so you'll have a place to stash books and clean up clutter.
