Just in time for Halloween, the Zombie Walk returns with a new theme and a new route.
Participants are invited to dress as the zombie version of their favorite film character, and if their favorite character happens to be a zombie, well, all the better.
Zombies will gather starting at 4 p.m. Saturday at Club Congress, 311 E. Congress St., where the fifth annual event kicks off with a group "Thriller" dance, music, vendors and a costume contest.
And because all a zombie needs to eat are brains, walkers are asked to bring nonperishable food items to be donated to the Community Food Bank.
The walk itself will start between 7 and 7:30 p.m. and will end at Club Congress, where the undead will be treated to entertainment by the Mission Creeps and the Woolly Bandits, but not before the crowd takes over the studios at Access Tucson for a television appearance.

The Zombie Walk is fun for all ages. Everyone can "expect to have fun with hundreds of their closest undead friends that they haven't met yet," said Rosie Zwaduk, one of the organizers.
