PHOENIX - A 150-foot-tall crane tipped on its side at a hospital construction site in north Phoenix and landed on another building, but there were only two minor injuries.
Fire officials say the crane's boom and its 50,000-pound load landed on top of an office building occupied by 100 employees of John C. Lincoln North Mountain Hospital.
Luckily, the officials said, only the crane operator and another construction worker were hurt, and both of them escaped with minor cuts.
They also say the crane fortunately missed by just a few feet a large tank containing liquid oxygen as it toppled.
The accident is under investigation.
