SALT LAKE CITY — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced funeral plans for President Gordon B. Hinckley, who died Sunday at age 97.
The funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday in the church's 21,000-seat Salt Lake City Conference Center. It will be broadcast via satellite in 69 languages to more than 6,000 church buildings around the world.
Public viewings are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Church Administration Building.
Hinckley was church's 15th president and had served nearly 13 years in that capacity.
