A sexual assault in a University of Arizona residence hall early Wednesday was not a random act of violence, police said Thursday.
While police declined to release information on the relationship between the victim and the suspect — Aaron Matthew Breslow, they say he is not believed to be involved in any other incidents.
Breslow, 20, is not a student at the UA, according to Sgt. Juan Alvarez of the University of Arizona Police Department. He is now facing three counts of sexual assault and one count of sexual abuse.
Police went to Coronado Hall, 822 E. Fifth Street, around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday after receiving the report.
Early in the investigation, officers were able to identify Breslow as the suspect and tracked him down on campus near Second Street and Vine Avenue around 3:30 p.m., Alvarez said.

He was booked into the Pima County jail where he remained Thursday morning.
Officers are still working to determine how Breslow made his way into the young woman’s room, Alvarez said.
