The Sun Link Streetcar route will be adjusted to accommodate the Fourth Avenue Winter Street Fair which runs from Friday, Dec. 12 to Sunday, Dec. 14.
The street car won’t run from the intersection of Third Avenue and University Boulevard to Fourth Avenue and Ninth Street, but will remain open on the west and east ends of its route, according to a press release from the City of Tucson.
A shuttle bus operated by Sun Tran will ferry street car passengers around the closed portion of the route and to the next open stop.
Fourth Avenue will be closed to cars and the streetcar from 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11 until midnight on Sunday, Dec. 14.
The streetcar will operate normally from the stop at Helen Street to University Boulevard and Third Avenue on the east end and from the stop at Fourth Avenue and Eighth Street to Avenida del Convento.
