The American Action Network has released their first ad in Arizona’s Second Congressional District race, part of a $1.8 million ad buy targeting Rep. Ron Barber.
The 30-second ad focuses on Barber's support for Nancy Pelosi after receiving campaign donations from the current Minority Leader of the United States House of Representatives.
"In 2012, Ron Barber wouldn’t tell Arizonans if he would back Nancy Pelosi for Speaker, but he took $25,000 from Pelosi in campaign contributions. Then, in 2013, Barber joined Nancy Pelosi’s posse trying to return her to the Speaker’s chair and defend Obamacare," said Emily Davis, Deputy Communications Director for the American Action Network.
The broadcast TV and online advertising buy is part of AAN’s $550,000 in independent expenditures in the CD2 race. AAN’s sister organization, Congressional Leadership Fund super PAC, is scheduled to spend $1.25 million in the race in the coming weeks.

In Arizona, Barber refused to tell voters he would support Pelosi. But she gave Barber thousands in campaign cash.
Now in Washington, Barber has voted for Pelosi, for Obamacare, cutting Medicare, and for record debt. Barber rubber-stamped it all.
Ron Barber. He’ll take your vote, and give it to Pelosi.
