Sen. John McCain’s favorite Michael Jackson song?
“Billie Jean” — released the same month in 1983 that he was first sworn into Congress representing Arizona.
McCain’s not alone in his taste for the King of Pop.
Jackson’s music, it seems, links a number of Arizona politicians — from all age ranges and both politician parties.
State Sen. Jonathan Paton, R-Tucson, is 34 years younger then McCain. The 38-year-old was only 11 when “Billy Jean” came out but it still ranks as his favorite Jackson tune of all time.
“I remember everyone trying to do the Moonwalk,” says the native Tucsonan.
Tucson city councilman Rodney Glassman? “Heal the World,” released in 1992, is the Democrat’s favorite.
