One man was killed and two other men were injured in a gang shooting late Saturday at a midtown apartment complex.
Tucson Police responded to a shooting at Mountain Shadow Apartments, 2430 N. Dodge Blvd. near East Grant Road, just before 11 p.m. Saturday and found three men suffering from gunshot wounds, said Sgt. Fabian Pacheco, a spokesman with the Tucson Police Department.
James S. Gonzales, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene, Pacheco said.
Two other males, ages 22 and 20, were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, he said.
Gang detectives responded to investigate because the shooting is said to be gang motivated, Pacheco said.
Two rival gangs hosted separate parties in adjoining apartments when a verbal altercation between guests from the two parties broke out and spilled into the parking lot, Pacheco said.
