Back in June, I reported Judge Howard Fell ordered two teenagers suspected of killing a third teen to undergo psych evals to see if they were competent to stand trial.
On Aug. 23, it was revealed Santos Angel Hernandez does not understand the nature of the proceedings and/or can't help his attorney mount a defense. He was ordered into the jail's restoration to competency program.
On Wednesday, it was revealed Dante Solomon is competent to stand trial and a status hearing in his case was set for Oct. 6.
The teenagers are suspected of killing Austin Wayne Maudsley.
According to police, the pair led Maudsley, 16, from an apartment complex to a nearby field under false pretenses and then stabbed him and took his wallet.
His body was found a week later.

Police told an Arizona Daily Star reporter the two suspects claimed Maudsley had "disrespected them."
Defense attorneys Matt Messmer and Clay Kamm told Judge Fell Hernandez has been diagnosed with ADHD, oppositional-defiant disorder, learning disabilities and borderline intellectual functioning.
They also said he was declared incompetent six years ago.
The attorneys said when they see him, Hernandez has mood swings, a problem paying attention and remembering things. They also indicated he doesn't seem very bright.
Solomon's attorney, Vincent Frey, said his client has a history of mental health problems and been diagnosed with psychosis in the past.
Solomon told police he was hearing voices when the crime occurred, Frey wrote in court documents.
