Re: the Oct. 26 story "Many of Tucson's top teachers work in richest districts"
Seeing one of my all-time favorite classrooms on the front page of Wednesday's paper struck a chord with me. Half a decade ago, I, too, was a member of Mr. Bindschadler's seventh-grade English class at Orange Grove Middle School. Indeed, his class was filled with endless opportunities for creativity, innovation and individuality.
As a senior in high school, I am in a perpetually pensive mood — always reflecting back on past experiences, especially those that really molded who I am today. The three years of being in Mr. Bindschadler's English classes fueled my passion for discourse and taught me to transcend the once-rigid boundaries of my own thinking, forever shaping how I interact with others.
I am pleased that the Star did justice to inspiring teachers like Mr. Bindschadler by featuring a handful in Wednesday's paper. The value of a good teacher is truly unparalleled.
