Got a hankering for some fermented grapes? Keep it local this weekend by heading down to Willcox for their semi-annual wine festival. The burgeoning wine region, which claims to be the largest in Arizona, is home to more than a dozen wineries and tasting rooms.
They'll celebrate the bounty of the fall harvest this weekend with a big party, complete with music, crafts, local produce and more. Seventeen Arizona wineries will gather in the historic railroad park to taste out over 70 different wines. A $15 ticket gets you 6 tastings, plus a commemorative glass. (Additional tastings tickets can be purchased as well.)

The Great Arizona Grape Stomp 5K at Zarpara Vineyards benefits the Arizona Wine Growers Association and Phoenix Children's Hospital Foundation. The race course will take runners through Bodega Pierce Winery & Vineyard, Deep Sky Vineyard, and back to Zarpara, 6777 S. Zarpara Lane. Saturday, 8 a.m. Info here.

Arizona Stronghold’s “Tour de Terroir” is the first-ever open house of their Bonita Springs Vineyard near Willcox. There will be wine by the glass and bottle, live music, kids' activities and even camping. (Guests are encouraged to bring their gear and stay the night.)
