Organizers of an all-day community event Saturday are asking Tucsonans of all ages and fitness levels to participate in a group workout.
The "Move Your Body" group workout is set for 11 a.m. this Saturday Jan. 7 at Reid Park's DeMeester Outdoor Performance area.
Beyoncé altered the words to her hit song "Get Me Bodied" and created a song — "Move Your Body" — for Michelle Obama's anti-obesity campaign. The revamped song has a dance routine that doubles as a workout kids can do to get fit.
The group exercise is part of Saturday's daylong "BEYOND: Commemorate * Celebrate * Commit, which aims to bring the community together in the same spirit that united us after the Jan. 8 shooting tragedy.
The Tucson Trails Tribute Fund, co-founded by Ross Zimmerman, is spearheading the effort. Zimmerman is the father of Gabe Zimmerman, an aide to U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords who died in the shooting.

Six people died on Jan. 8 and 13 others, including Giffords, were wounded. Giffords' husband Mark Kelly is scheduled to speak at a community event Sunday night. Giffords is also expected to be in Tucson for the anniversary but her office is not yet saying when or where she'll appear in public.
