Enter your best vacation pictures in this summer's Arizona Daily Star travel-photo contest, presented by the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum Art Institute.
Animals are the theme - only photos that include an animal will be accepted. The nonhuman creature or a likeness of one can be the subject of the picture or just a small part of it.
The contest is open to Southern Arizona residents and runs through Aug. 31. The top photos will be published in a Sunday ¡Vamos! section in September.
The top photographer will receive a photo class of the winner's choice from the Desert Museum Art Institute, valued at $50 to $190.
Rick Wiley, the Star's director of photography, will pick his favorites. And new this year: Readers will select their top choices by popular vote.
