1 Suspicious activity was reported at 9:31 a.m. April 18 at ManorCare Health Services, 3705 N. Swan Road. The administrator told deputies the following: His staff told him a public bathroom had been locked since 11 p.m. He unlocked the door and found several empty vials of non-narcotic drugs on the ground and another vial and a syringe in the trash can. He did not think the vials came from his facility because they use a different type. A deputy took the vials and the syringe.
2 Fraud was reported at 2:57 p.m. April 17 in the 5700 block of East Finisterra Drive. A resident told deputies the following: She received poor-quality gems and pearls that she'd purchased online from a New Jersey company. She spent more than $9,100 and paid with five or six checks. She complained to the seller several times and he had a different excuse every time. She stopped buying his items and discovered numerous complaints about the man after researching his name online. Deputies suggested she notify eBay because she got his phone number from that website.

3 Theft was reported at 3:35 p.m. April 16 in the 13300 block of East Camino la Cebadilla. A resident told deputies the following: While bringing in a load of groceries she noticed the kitchen phone was off the hook. She walked into the master bedroom and found a pillow missing its cover on the closet floor. She discovered the key hidden in the rain gutter was missing. Jewelry valued at more than $2,000, a pillow case and a cell phone receiver were taken.
4 A student was cited on suspicion of possession of marijuana at 2:12 p.m. April 15 at Fenster School, 8500 E. Ocotillo Drive. A security employee told deputies the following: He found a small amount of marijuana on the student and asked him if he had any more. The boy produced a gallon-size plastic bag containing 2.6 ounces of marijuana from his dorm room. He was released to the school's acting director.
5 A 1995 Kawasaki motorcycle was reported stolen at 12:12 p.m. April 14 at Quail Ridge Apartments, 4500 E. Sunrise Drive. The owner told deputies he no longer lives at the complex and intended to move the motorcycle but it did not have a gasoline tank.
