Picture Rocks residents will soon be able to connect with their community online.
Citizens For Picture Rocks, a neighborhood advocacy group established by residents, is setting up a Web site as another way to bring the community together, said member Albert Lannon.
The site should be up and running in the next few months.
Citizens For Picture Rocks already sends out a monthly e-mail updating residents about community meetings and events. The Web site will help reach a wider audience, Lannon said.
Using a grant from Pima County, the neighborhood group will have news updates, information and a business directory.
The grant will also pay for a printed directory.
Besides helping residents connect with one another, the Web site and the directory will help new residents find local home-repair shops and other businesses, Lannon said.

Residents who own or operate local businesses can receive a free one-line listing in the directory.
Residents can also place an ad the size of a business card in the directory for a $10 donation.
The money helps fund ongoing volunteer programs, such as community cleanup, Lannon said.
To place a listing, call Kaitlin Meadows at 622-6161 or e-mail paloma@dakotacom.net.
Picture Rocks is in unincorporated Pima County south of Marana and west of Interstate 10.
