Expect to pay $5 more for copies of birth and death certificates in Pima County.
The Arizona Legislature approved new surcharges for birth and death certificates and the Arizona State Office of Vital Records is passing on the fee increase to all Arizona counties. The change was approved by the Pima County Board of Supervisors last month and went into effect Friday.
The new cost is $20 for certified copies of birth and death certificates and $30 for corrections and amendments.
Last year, Pima County's Office of Vital Records issued more than 100,000 certified copies of birth and death certificates.
