Raindrops have fallen on Tucson International Airport for the first time in nearly a month.
Since Thursday morning, 0.02 inches of rain has fallen at the airport. The minor rainfall puts Tucson's year-to-date precipitation at 6.72 inches, which is roughly 3.51 inches below normal.
A Pima County Regional Flood Control District rain gauge on Mount Lemmon has picked up the most rain since Thursday morning — 0.98 inches. There are multiple sites south and east of Tucson, however, that haven't felt a drop.
According to the National Weather Service, Tucson Weather Forecast Office, the last time the airport saw rain was a trace on Oct. 11, the only spot of rain recorded there last month. In fact, you have to go back almost two months to Sept. 13 to find a measurable precipitation total — 0.04 inches — at the city's official recording site.
