Who can ride
● The lowdown on female bull-riding in rodeo organizations
National High School Rodeo Association:
No female bull riding.
National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association:
No female bull riding.
Professional Bull Riders:
Women are allowed to ride, but none has done so.
Women's Professional Rodeo Association:
Bull riding is an event in this association. Ride must last 6 seconds and riders have the option of holding their rope with one hand or both.
Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association:
Women are allowed to ride bulls, and would be judged and scored by the same standards as the men. But at this time, no women ride bulls with the association. Rides must last 8 seconds, and one hand must be free at all times.
