One-stop event offers help for homeless
Tucson Homeless Connect, along with Trinity Presbyterian Church, is having its ninth one-day, one-stop event Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 400 E. University Blvd.
Homeless individuals and families will be assisted with IDs, clothing, health screenings, jobs, haircuts and shelter. For information on volunteering or to donate, go to www.tucsonhomelessconnect.org.
Regional cat show is this coming weekend
The International Cat Association's Southwest Regional Cat Show starts Friday.
Attendees will have the opportunity to see exotic cats compete for titles. There will be vendors, and rescue cats for adoption.

The event is at the Doubletree Hotel, 445 S. Alvernon Way. Hours are from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is $5; $4 seniors; $3 children under 12; $16 for family of 4 adults.

Early Christmas arts event is coming up
Christmas in July is being held at the Hilton East Hotel, 7600 E. Broadway, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. next Saturday and Sunday.
More than 40 local artists will be showing and selling holiday-themed arts and crafts in varied media. Admission is free. For more information, call 797-1751.
