Tucson police are asking the public for help in finding a woman in connection to a northeast side armed robbery of a Taco Bell.
On Jan. 30 shortly after 7 a.m., police were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery at Taco Bell, 6616 E. Grant Road, just west of East Tanque Verde Road, said Officer Brandon Tatum, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.
The woman had left before police arrived with an undisclosed amount of cash, Tatum said. The woman was seen fleeing south from the fast-food restaurant. Police searched the area but the woman was not found, Tatum said.
No one was injured during the robbery.
Detectives said the woman, who was captured on a surveillance camera, entered Taco Bell shortly after it opened at 7 a.m. She approached the register, and pointed a handgun at the clerk, demanding cash, Tatum said.

She was described as a dark-skinned woman who was in her late 30s to early 40s. She weighed about 130 pounds and was about 5 feet 1 inch tall.
She was wearing a dark zippered hoodie, a black baseball cap, blue jeans, black gloves with skeleton fingers, and a gray nylon stocking covering her face, said Tatum. Witnesses also said the woman had a deep, scratchy voice.
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
