The nonprofit Live Acoustic Venue Association, also known as LAVA, opens its fall season Saturday evening at Abounding Grace Sanctuary with a concert featuring X-Train Bluegrass Band.
X-Train is a high-energy group featuring Ross Nickerson on banjo, Peter McLaughlin on guitar, Mark Miracle on mandolin and Bob Denoncourt on bass.
The members of X-Train have toured extensively throughout the world and played and recorded with internationally renowned bluegrass bands.
X-Train toured Australia and New Zealand last year and has been invited back this year.
Nickerson has been touring in the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia over the last decade and has recorded a CD with members of the acclaimed bluegrass band Blue Highway, but he still calls Arizona his home away from home.
