South Kinney Road will be closed south of West Ajo Way to Calle Don Manuel from Wednesday through late August as part of a $40 million project to improve traffic flow along Ajo Way (State Route 86) between South Kinney and West Valencia roads.
Traffic will be routed to West Irvington Road via Camino de Oeste or Sunset Boulevard to access Kinney road from the south in the interim, according to a news release from ADOT.
The entire project is expected to wrap up in the summer of 2018.
Some of the other changes drivers will see in that area, according to ADOT:

Traffic will be detoured to Michigan Street and to Fred Avenue. There will be a "Road Closed to Through Traffic" sign with space provided for local traffic to enter. Business access will be maintained.
