A 13-year-old boy was fatally shot and two more people were wounded during an altercation Saturday evening on Tucson's southeast side, police said.
The incident started about 6:45 p.m. when police answered 911 calls about gunfire near East Golf Links and South Stella roads, Tucson police said in a news release.
Police were still on the way to the gunfire call when three people with gunshot injuries went to an urgent care in the area. The 13-year-old died, the release said.
Police did not release the name of the slain boy.
Investigators say all three people who were shot were occupants of the same vehicle. Gunfire erupted during a confrontation between people in the vehicle and unknown individuals, the release said.
No suspects were immediately identified.
