The University of Arizona College of Science will host a series of lectures that will address questions surrounding aging, science and technology.
The "Living Beyond 100 Lecture Series" will discuss the effects of long life, the opportunities and costs of new longevity, the biology of aging, the effects of aging on the brain and several other topics.
There will be six free weekly lectures, starting next Tuesday with "Can We, and What If We Do?," which will discuss the possibilities and effects of living past 100. Shane C. Burgess, dean of the UA College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, will lead that session.
The other lectures will take place Jan. 31, Feb. 7, Feb. 14, Feb. 21 and Feb. 28.
All lectures will begin at 7 p.m. at Centennial Hall, 1020 E. University Blvd.
