Police have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with a reported sexual assault at a Sierra Vista motel early Sunday.
Thomas G. Sheard was booked into the Cochise County jail on suspicion of three counts of sexual assault, one count of kidnapping, one count of burglary and one count of criminal trespass, according to a news release from the Sierra Vista Police Department.
The arrest stems from an incident at the Sierra Vista Extended Stay Motel, 201 W. Fry Blvd., which was reported around 2 a.m., the release said.
Police would not release any information about the alleged victim. The circumstances that led up to the incident were not disclosed in the news release.
On Monday the agency released a computer-generated sketch of the suspect. Tips from the public began coming in, leading police to an address in Sierra Vista where Sheard was arrested just after 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Sheard is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond.
