A Tucson man was arrested Thursday in connection with a bank robbery on the North Side, police said Friday.
Erik L. Odeski, 30, was booked into the Pima County jail on suspicion of one count of robbery, according to a news release from the Tucson Police Department.
The arrest stems from a robbery that occurred Wednesday just before 10:30 a.m. at the Compass Bank, 945 E. Grant Road, the release said.
A man walked into the bank, gave the teller a note and was able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money, the release said.
Robbery detectives found clothing that was discarded by the robber at a nearby grocery store, the release said.
Detectives showed a surveillance photo of the robber to people in the area, and on Thursday, one person called police after recognizing the suspect in the area of West Grant and North Oracle roads, the release said.

Odeski was taken into custody.
Online court records show that he has been arrested a number of times in the past on charges that include false reporting to law enforcement, shoplifting, criminal trespassing, criminal damage and burglary.
Tucson police are also investigating an unrelated robbery that occurred less than four hours after the Compass Bank was hit.
No arrests have been made in that incident, but police ask that anyone with information call 911 or 88-CRIME, the anonymous tip line of the Pima County Attorney's Office.
That robbery occurred at the Tucson Health Care Affiliates Federal Credit Union, 5280 E. Grant Road, at about 1:50 p.m., the news release said.
A man entered the credit union and told the teller he had a gun and demanded money, the release said.
The teller complied, and he fled with an undisclosed amount of money.
The robber is described as being 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds and having dark hair and brown eyes.
He was wearing a dark green and black sweatshirt with pockets in the front.
A week earlier, the same man was seen on surveillance footage casing the credit union, police say.
