“Photo Realism: Painting With Clarity of Vision,” works by Isapat Azimuth and Geneva Keith Ulm, will be on display this month in the gallery at the Kirk-Bear Canyon Library, 8959 E. Tanque Verde Road.
The exhibit is based on the artists’ work in watercolor with inspiration from photographs.
Azimuth and Ulm, Signature members of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild, say they find that this technique sharpens the sense of sight, and more attention to detail provides further enhancement to the images.
You can meet the artists at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. May 18.
Azimuth earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico with a minor in art education. Her teaching career has spanned 37 years, beginning with second grade on the Navajo Reservation in Chinle and concluding in Tucson.
