This month's wellness lecture at Academy Village will feature a talk on Chinese medicine by a Tucson-area specialist in the field.
Elizabeth Hachenberg, a licensed and national board-certified acupuncturist and herbalist, will speak Wednesday on "Traditional Chinese Medicine Through a Western Perspective: The Mysteries Revealed."
Co-sponsored by the Arizona Senior Academy and the village Wellness Center, the talk is free and open to the public. It will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Arizona Senior Academy Building, 13715 E. Langtry Lane.
Hachenberg holds a master's degree from the Arizona School of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Tucson. She did post-graduate studies at Guang An Men Hospital in Beijing, China.
Her practice in southeast Tucson, White Tiger Acupuncture, offers a holistic approach to traditional Chinese medicine including acupuncture, cupping, moxibustion and gua sha as well as herbal and nutritional consultations.
