VAIL/CORONA DE TUCSON
1Burglary was reported at 9:54 p.m. July 30 in the 100 block of North Vail View Road. A resident told deputies the following: He saw two men near a car in the desert across the street from his house. One man drove away and the second man ran away when they noticed him. The resident found a suitcase containing mail lodged in a cactus. The mail had the address of a nearby house. Deputies drove to the house and found a broken sliding-glass door. The owner was not home and deputies were unable to contact him by telephone.
2Burglary was reported at 4:34 a.m. July 30 at Vail Steakhouse Cafe & Diner, 13005 E. Benson Highway. Deputies found a front glass door shattered by a large rock and the rear door ajar. A cash register drawer containing coins was open. The owner told deputies the coins are the only currency left in the restaurant overnight. According to the report, nothing was stolen.

3Vandalism was reported at 9:46 a.m. July 30 in the 1600 block of West Thunder Road. A resident told deputies she discovered a dent on the rear door of her van. She said someone damaged the van between 6 p.m. July 28 and 9 a.m. July 30.
4Larceny was reported at 8:04 p.m. July 29 at Quik Mart, 13142 E. Colossal Cave Road. A driver with Golden Eagle Distributors Inc. told deputies someone took two cases of soda from his truck when he was inside the store.
5Theft was reported at 4:50 p.m. July 27 in the 13500 block of East Garigans Gulch. A resident told deputies someone stole her daughter's bicycle valued at $100 from the front yard. She said she found a different bicycle in her yard. According to the report, the bicycle in the yard had not been reported stolen.
6Fraud was reported at 12:33 p.m. July 27 in the 17100 block of South Golden Sunrise Place. A resident told deputies he did not receive his billing statement from Qwest in June. He said a company employee told him someone using his wife's name changed the billing address and e-mail on the account.
