Activities in school: She is Student Council president and participates in advanced band, where she plays the snare and bass drums, timpani and bells.
Activities outside of school: The teen stays busy with Tucson Mountain Heat club softball.
Who would you have lunch with if you could have lunch with anyone (living or dead)? Miley Cyrus, star of the popular television show "Hannah Montana".
"I would ask her how she got into acting and what's her favorite part," Espinoza said.
What are you reading now? She's reading three books, including "Marley & Me," which is about a family and its Labrador retriever.

"It shows the guy has a lot of feeling for his dog," she said. "I have a dog that shares some of Marley's traits."
Whom do you admire most? "I admire my sister Yvette. She is always there for me when I need her and she is a great person to talk to," Espinoza said.
What's on your iPod? Lots, including Stevie Wonder, Natasha Bedingfield, Justin Timberlake, T-Pain, Plain White T's, and the "High School Musical Two" soundtrack.
Future plans: "Being a UA Wildcat!"
Dream job: Pediatrician.
Dream car: Hot-pink convertible Ford Mustang.
Favorite place in Tucson: Tucson Children's Museum.
Hidden talents: Espinoza said she enjoys making jewelry, playing percussion and softball.
But her mother said something people don't know about the teen is that she can sense when something is wrong with another person and will offer her concern and aid.
Vouch: "She has a full plate. She has a lot of goals she has set for herself and hopes to achieve them in high school," said her mother, who nominated Espinoza for Student of the Week.
"Ashley, to me, is special because of her thoughtfulness. She places others before herself. She truly puts her heart and soul into everything she does."
