LAVA Music will present the latest Music on the Mountain concert Sunday, featuring Strait Country, a tribute to the music of George Strait, from 1 to 5 p.m.
The outdoor concert takes place in Summerhaven on Mount Lemmon.
Kevin Sterner pays tribute to the music of Strait, performing hits such as "Amarillo by Morning," "All My Ex's Live in Texas," "Ocean Front Property," "The Chair" and more.
Sterner's easygoing stage presence mirrors that of Strait, with a similar vocal style, and he peppers his performance with anecdotes about Strait's songs and career.
Backing Sterner is a lineup of accomplished musicians: Rich Brennion on pedal steel guitar, Bill Emrie on fiddle, Gerry Ptak on bass and Ralph Gilmore on drums.
The series takes place every Sunday through Sept. 5 under a big tent in Summerhaven. It's sponsored by Mesquite Homes.
