When Jack Trustman and Cortland Montefiore sit beside each other to play violin, their bowing, their posture, even their attire are nearly identical.
The difference is their ages: Trustman is 85 and Montefiore is just 14.
The pair are members of the Foothills Phil Intergenerational Orchestra, which had a winter concert Sunday at Catalina Foothills High School auditorium, 4300 East Sunrise Drive.
"It keeps me young," joked Jack Trustman about the intergenerational group. "It's a nice balance and instrumentation."
The music — conducted by László Veres — is really the focus of the event.
"The music takes the inter-generations and makes them one," said audience member Megan Samimi. "It doesn't matter if they are 12 or 86. When they opened with 'Some Enchanted Evening,' it brought tears to my eyes."

Other audience members agreed. "We follow László wherever he has a concert," said Connie Tobin. "They are always good."
