Seven years since the Aspen Fire destroyed hundreds of homes and businesses in and around the Mount Lemmon village of Summerhaven, the mountain is springing back to life.
Last year, LAVA Music teamed up with Mount Lemmon developer Jim Campbell and Bob Zimmerman of Mount Lemmon Realty to produce a weekly Sunday afternoon concert series called Music on the Mountain.
The series was designed to help revitalize Summerhaven, and it was successful in bringing people and fun back to Mount Lemmon.
The event drew hikers, bicyclists, families, auto and motorcycle enthusiasts, campers, singles groups, seniors and music lovers of all ages.
This year's Music on the Mountain series kicks off Sunday with Chuck Wagon and the Wheelchairs (formerly known as Chuck Wagon and the Wheels).
