The surf was up and the fish was sizzlin' at La Encantada last weekend.
Well — sort of.
Tucson's Retro Rockets wailed in full '60s spirit, and pecan-crusted trout was the treat following a cooking demonstration by chefs from Firebirds Wood Fired Grill.
The Saturday event was the last in the Summer of Enchantment Concert Series in the courtyard of La Encantada, 2905 E. Skyline Drive. Young and old were on hand to share the morning dancing, clapping and visiting.
"This is just wonderful," said Jim Quinn, who stopped by after an early game of tennis. "It's a nice day out."
The series, finishing its fourth season, has featured morning concerts by performers representing a variety of musical styles, from jazz to blues and Caribbean to rock 'n' roll. Each genre was paired with La Encantada restaurants featuring food complementary to the music.
