Duo Sonora - featuring Native American classical guitarist Gabriel Ayala and Grammy-nominated percussionist Will Clipman - will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Abounding Grace Sanctuary, 2450 S. Kolb Road.
Ayala is a member of the Yaqui tribe of Southern Arizona. He began playing guitar as a child and earned a master's degree in music performance in 1997 from the University of Arizona. He performs regularly throughout the United States and has appeared at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts as well as the National Museum of the American Indian.
Clipman has been drumming since he was 3 years old and has recorded more than 50 albums.
Both performers have won several awards for their work.
