1 Fraud was reported at 8:04 a.m. March 30 in the 9900 block of North Blue Crossing Way. A resident told police the following: She received an e-mail in February from an unknown person requesting funds to be sent via Western Union in exchange for a $25,000 loan. On Feb. 28, she sent $400 to a man in Spain. On March 19, she sent $99 to to a man in Nigeria. On March 25, she sent $250 to the same man in Spain. She became leery of the transactions after she received another e-mail request for $600 to receive her loan. The amount of money she lost totalled $834. She reported the incident to the bank because she gave out her bank account number and routing information.
2Theft was reported at 9:05 a.m. March 30 in the 8400 block of North Ironwood Reserve Way. A resident told police the following: She returned from vacation on March 21 and noticed her television was missing on March 22. She said her daughter watched the house and did not notice the thefts. A laptop computer, an Xbox 360, several Xbox games, three credit cards and $1,500 were also taken. The side garage door had been left unlocked when she was on vacation.

3Vandalism was reported at 4:30 p.m. March 26 at a shopping center in the 4100 block of West Ina Road. A police officer discovered blue, orange, black and red graffiti on a wall facing a drainage way. The property manager was notified.
PIMA COUNTY
4Identity theft was reported at 12:03 p.m. March 31 in the 3900 block of West Linda Vista Boulevard. A resident told deputies the following: He attempted to file his taxes online and got a message that he needed to file by mail. He went to the local IRS office and was told someone filed taxes under his name in Puerto Rico and Arizona. He said the same thing happened to him last year but he thought the matter had been cleared up. He does not know how anyone got his Social Security number. The IRS employee told him he needed to file a report with the Sheriff's Department.
5Theft was reported at 6:28 p.m. March 30 in the 7700 block of North Paseo Monserrat. A resident told deputies the following: He said his wife noticed someone took her costume jewelry from a jewelry box in the master bedroom. Three handguns were taken from a gray box kept inside the master bedroom closet. An iPod was taken from a kitchen counter. According to the report, the thieves entered through an open door in the carport.
6An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of auto theft at 6:06 p.m. March 30 in the 2900 block of West Pepper Drive. A resident told deputies the following: She heard a noise outside and saw a man break into her son's truck. The truck stalled because of a problem with the water pump and she confronted the man. He claimed the truck was his and when she told him it was not, he ran away. He was found in a neighbor's backyard. The neighbor said his dogs almost bit the man when he jumped into the yard. Burglary tools were found inside the man's pockets. He was also charged on suspicion of possession of burglary tools and booked into Pima County jail.
ORO VALLEY
7Theft was reported at 3:22 p.m. March 31 at Hilton El Conquistador Country Club, 10555 N. La Cañada Drive. Two men told police someone stole their golf bags and golf cart while they were eating lunch. A golf instructor told police he saw someone drive a golf cart into the bushes near the eighth tee box. He said he saw a man load two golf bags into the back of a truck and drive away. He told police he realized the man probably stole the bags and called the pro shop. Police searched the area but were unable to find the truck.
8Theft was reported at 8:20 a.m. March 30 at Immaculate Heart Academy, 410 E. Magee Road. A woman told police the following: She drove her children to school and went to the front office to pick up paperwork. She left her car windows down slightly but thought she locked the doors. On her way home, she looked down at the floorboard and noticed her purse was missing. The purse had been tucked under the passenger side seat.
9A 15-year-old girl was cited on suspicion of curfew violation at 2:27 a.m. March 30 at James D. Kriegh Park, 23 W. Calle Concordia. A police officer noticed two people sitting in a vehicle parked in the lot. The girl gave the officer a birthdate that would indicate she is two years older than she actually is. The officer told her she was out past curfew and her mother would have to be contacted. The officer called the phone number the girl gave him. The female who answered told police it was OK for her to be out and she would be unable to pick her up. A records check revealed the girl's real date of birth. She said she gave the officer the wrong one because she did not want the man she was with to know her real age. She said she gave the officer the phone number to her best friend who pretended to be her mom because she did not want to get in trouble. She was also cited on suspicion of false reporting to law enforcement and released to her mother.
