A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed in a hit-and-run accident on Interstate 19 near Amado at around 10:40 p.m. Thursday.
The pedestrian was walking north on the southbound shoulder when the crash happened. The Department of Public Safety is investigating. A spokesman said no information about the vehicle is available.
Information about the victim won’t be released until the person’s family has been notified of the crash.
