Tucson removes César Chávez statue
A 6-foot-tall statue of César Chávez was removed Monday from a well-known intersection south of downtown.

The artist who created the bronze statue of César Chávez that stood at the intersection leading into Barrio Viejo south of downtown and the president of the neighborhood association both said they were not informed by the city in advance of its removal.
