Watch Now: TPD and Banner-University Medicine partner to distribute backpacks to homeless population

Members of Tucson Police Department's Homeless Outreach Team, TPD's Motor Unit and Traffic Investigations and Banner University Medicine's trauma team distributed about 100 reflective backpacks to the homeless population in areas with the highest incidents of pedestrians struck by motor vehicles, including Fort Lowell and Oracle roads.
TPD's and Banner's partnership is aimed at raising awareness of the high number of pedestrians struck by motor vehicles, helping curb the rise of pedestrian deaths and giving out more reflective backpacks filled with everyday necessities. Video by: Rebecca Sasnett / Arizona Daily Star
