In Mexico, healthcare and medicine are free to everyone. In Mazatlán, Sinaloa, I saw medical teams vaccinating citizens door-to-door. In Hermosillo, Sonora, water is removed from yards by city workers to control mosquitoes carrying dengue fever. In 2024-2025, only 29 cases of measles were confirmed in Mexico -- imported from Texas. In contrast, there are over 500 U.S. cases in 17 states while Trump slashes healthcare funds and fires doctors. Bubonic plague or Black Death is much worse. In 1347-1352, 30 million people died in Europe (30-50% of the population). The latest death in New Mexico was in 2024. Health & Human Services Secretary Robert (Bubonic Bob) Kennedy would treat the disease with Medieval remedies -- blood-letting with leeches, drinking ground emeralds or unicorn horn, arsenic, theriac salve (35% opium), fumigation with flowers, chopped snake rubs, gypsy witchcraft, etc. rather than the vaccine developed in 1897!
