I read Emad Moussa's powerful column on the dehumanization of Palestinian people with a mixture of sadness, horror, and fear. For the second time in history, we are experiencing the mass extermination of a people.
Moussa describes specific friends and relatives he knows who have been killed in Gaza-- brave people, accomplished and brilliant, innocent people killed by bombs, their life and deaths diminished and dismissed by brutal killers.
Most pitiful to me is the tens of thousands of children who remain alive; starving, wounded, cold, their family members hurt or dead. What is the future for these children? Will they perpetuate the cycle of hatred again in the future? When will this end?
